Free creative classes to support your wellbeing

Are you over 16 weeks pregnant, or just had a baby and experiencing low mood and/or feeling isolated? Our relaxing arts and craft activities are run in a small friendly group and need no prior experience.

 

From hand made animal decorations to painting, come and explore your creativity and meet other pregnant women and new Mums.

Perinatal

A free 8-week course of relaxing creative activities to support your wellbeing in the later stage of your pregnancy. Try out a range of art and craft activities supported by artist Charlotte Hawke. Suitable for all, no experience needed.

To be held at: The Churn, 14-16 The Waterloo, Cirencester, GL7 2PY

Dates: April 9th, 16th, 23rd,30th May 7th, 14th, 21st, June 4th

Time: 1- 3. pm

Postnatal

A free 8-week course for those in the early months of motherhood. Discover relaxing creative activities to support your wellbeing, try out a range of art and craft activities supported by artist Charlotte Hawke. Suitable for all, no experience needed.

To be held at: The Churn, 14-16 The Waterloo, Cirencester, GL7 2PY

Dates: April 15th, 22nd, 29th May 13th, 20th, June 3rd, 10th, 17th

Time: 1-3pm

How to find us

  • What will I get from attending a course?
    - Make friends with other new mums/birthing people who are pregnant or have recently had babies - Learn new skills in yoga or creative activities - Learn techniques to help you combat social isolation and loneliness - Get support with any low-level mental health worries you may have - Opportunity to set light-touch goals through 121 telephone support with the lead artist/yoga practitioner - Opportunity to set up a move on group with others from your course to continue using creativity or yoga for ongoing wellbeing
  • Do I need any previous experience?
    All our sessions are fully guided and therefore no previous experience is needed.
  • Can I bring my baby/child to the sessions?
    Yes you can!
  • Do I have to pay for this course?
    All courses are fully funded and therefore there is no charge to you.
  • How many new mums/birthing people will be in a group?
    We aim to 8-10 new mums/birthing people in each group.
  • Can I talk confidentially to the group lead and/or Art Shape?
    Any information shared with the group leader, assistant or Art Shape will be treated confidentially
  • Can I bring my friend/partner to the sessions?
    Whilst we aim that these sessions are for new mums/ birthing people who register for them only we appreciate that you may have the support of your partner/spouse or a friend to come to them. This is fine but you should be aware that they cannot attend the sessions and so would have to wait for you outside of the room at the venue.
