For me, creativity is a need, a refuge and a means of communication.

My work is made in moments of energy and periods of rest and reflection. I like to experiment but have to adapt my art according to the boundaries imposed by my health.

I am inspired by nature, literature and human vulnerability but like to inject a little humour into some of my work for some light relief. I hope my art connects to its viewers and sparks curiosity, emotions and moments of joy.

I particularly enjoy drawing and painting animals and I try to capture the individual spirit of each creature.

I really admire their beauty, resilience and ability to adapt.Art (my own and other artist’s) helps me to thrive rather than just survive.

This is a beautifully detailed drawing of a male lion from the front. Only the right side of his face is rendered in fine detail. He has a warm and tender expression
